Rain Leak Pros was originally founded by brothers Dan and Doug Owen to serve a need that they felt was not being adequately addressed. For all practical purposes, there had been no trade dealing specifically with environmental (non-plumbing) water intrusion, which includes rain leaks (See Why Not a Roofer?), poor drainage, groundwater and other external sources of moisture.

The problems related to rainwater intrusion can have many sources, many solutions and involve any of a dozen or more construction trades, none of whom consider it their primary responsibility. Whether it's a property owner in search of a cure for his leaks or a too-damp basement, or a construction defect dispute that requires expert testimony on the subject, we believe there should be a single source people can turn to for this expertise, and Rain Leak Pros was born from that belief.

Rain Leak Pros is still a family-run company, with Doug directing investigations and repairs in the field and his wife Kathy managing the office. And we are still dedicated to providing a single source that property owners can turn to with confidence to find and fix the source of any moisture-related problems.
